There are many areas of life where the word has to be sown into.

Most important for me as a believer is to have an open and clean heart when hearing the word. Let me give a picture of it. When a farmer is preparing his soil where he wants to sow seeds, he does first set fire on the ground to burn away all weeds.

When he finishes with that, he plows the ground so that all weeds are damaged. When the farmer has done that, he starts sowing the seed. When he does that, he knows that the soil is prepared for the seed to grow. Then he starts to water the ground with much water, clean water because he know that the seed need clean water to start making roots for the plant. He also knows that he has to water the ground every day – so he could have a good harvest.

When I stay in the presence of the Lord and let the anointing come into me, the Lord is starting to plow my heart so I can see what is in there. He brings it up to the surface so I can throw it out. By His anointing, He can sow His word (seeds) into the heart (soil) that He has prepared by the anointing. My job is to water the seed that He has put into me and let it grow. I do that by reading, confessing and acting on the word of God that He has put in me.

It is funny how you can hear the Word over and over and understand it with your mind but it doesn’t become a reality until you catch it with your spirit.

According to Mark 4, there are many types of ground and the ground represents the heart. Whether the Word penetrates the heart and grows, or is scorched or choked, depends on the condition of the heart.  I have to guard my heart with diligence and keep it pliable and soft so the Word can continually be sown in my heart and yield fruit. One of the changes I made was to control what is entering my eye and ear gates. I am selective of the movies I watch and I stopped listening to people complain and gossiping. I realized I was polluting my spirit and hardening my heart.

I learned is to take action. As a Bible school student, I made excuses as to why I was not spending more time with God such as I was too busy doing kingdom work and I didn’t have a place to meet since I live with 5 roommates. But then I started sowing the Word in my heart “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” I meditated on that Word for a week, and then all of a sudden spending time with God became a priority.  I would literally feel a pressing need to go home and be alone in my room with God. Then I realized that I wasn’t waiting on God but God was waiting on me all along.

I came to The River church last year February, and stated RBI in August 2010. Before coming here I had been a believer for almost ten years but had never experienced anything like what I saw in the River. The first was the soul winning script that made easy for me to lead people to the lord something I have struggled with for so long. The greatest day of my life was the RBI revival of 2010.

I got touch and laugh like a mad woman, what you have to understand is that before I came here I was a believer but bound Like Lazarus when he came out of the grave. I was bound with fear self pity confusion rejection just to name a few. But August 23rd 2010 something happened that turn my whole life around. Pastor Rodney called me out of the crowd and lay his hands on me and I started laughing, because I had hardly laughed before, my rips started cracking up I laugh for 24 hours.

Rodney Howard Browne – I got home at almost midnight and my land lady was still awake when I walked in she looked at me and screamed and I was wondering what had happened to her so I ask her and she said immediately I walked in she saw light on my fore head and she shouted I have joy and she started laughing  before I know she was speaking in tongues ,You have to Understand that my Landlady is a staunch catholic and will even hardly laugh I was amazed with what I was seeing but did not have the time to figure it out because I was over whelmed with joy so we both laugh our heads off till 1 AM. Rodney Howard Browne says that since I started The River School of Worship, God has really been doing a lot in my life. I had so much hurt from the past that God just took away. At one point in time, I found it very hard to trust in men. At the same time I still wanted to be loved. I realize that people will always let you down, but God is, and always will be there for you. What I have learned since I have been here is to become dependent on God for all my needs. I’m usually the kind of person who worries. Rodney Howard Brown I always wonder how things are going to turn out, and how I can fix it. I don’t even know why I bother going through the unnecessary emotions because God always, always, ALWAYS, comes through. He provides time and time! It made me repent because I had put God in the same category as the people who have hurt me in the past, by not trusting in him.

Through this experience God has also opened my eyes to the way I was treating certain people. Because of my past I would not handle situations very well. God is really teaching me to be patient. I was really set in my ways, and thought that if I wanted something done right I would have to do it myself. My way is not always the best way, and my ways were not Gods’ ways. Rodney Howard Browne stated that God is really working on me because he has put a multitude of people in my path that all have a different way of doing things. I really thank God for those people because I’m learning so much from them.

I guess the point is, I have tried my way of doing things. God’s way is the only way and no matter how uncomfortable I feel, I’m going to do what he tells me because I know that I’m nothing without him. He is really changing my way of thinking, and I want to be used by him. I want my ways to be his ways, always! He is making me a mighty woman of God….Tanyta B.

Rodney Howard Browne indicates that where to even begin, I realize that you wanted us to sum up what the last three weeks have meant to us; however, not filling you in on how and why we’ve even come to be here seems like jumping in midstream.  When my husband and I came to the River for Summer Camp Meeting in July, we were coming to have you pray with us for God to open up doors and reveal His plan for our lives. Rodney Howard Brown says that my plan consisted of His plan starting us in the school of ministry at RBI in 2012, giving us enough time to get our ducks in a row and our bank account padded to make us self-sustaining and secure.

Little did I know that you would, without hesitation I might add, offer our family FULL scholarships to the school of ministry for 2011 – with school starting just seven weeks from the time of the offer.  What looked like an impossibility in the natural, God made happen. Rodney Howard Browne says that and not just happen in seven weeks, but in three.  I knew that God had called us, but was still struggling with the how’s and the securities; trying to figure it all out for myself.  God asked me what my Isaac was, to lay it down before Him and to let Him be God.  My Isaac was security.  Moving to a new place, establishing our family there, being prosperous and financially stable with sufficient income to sustain ourselves and our family was huge!  I knew what our bank account said and that was certainly NOT going to cut it. Rodney Howard Browne says that my Change started before I left Canada. My husband had more faith than I had because we drove our car down to Tampa 23hrs. God did a miracle for us because we would have never been able to make the trip in the natural.

When I arrived at RBI I thought it would be impossible for me to go soul winning. For eleven days I was worried. During RBI Revival the Lord showed me that I had anger and bitterness. That same day, I was able to go soul winning with no more worries. That day I won twelve souls to Jesus. That night I shared my testimony by Rodney Howard Brown.

Rodney Howard Browne says that last week when the giving broke-out God continued cleaning me. He told me on to give up the new clothes that I bought since I moved here. Sunday morning, God said the same thing about giving up my new clothes plus the shoes. So, I sent my husband home to get me some more shoes and when He gave them to me to put on the Lord told me to take them off too. I obeyed, but after I gave I started to cry because God was showing me about myself. I needed to change and trust God and not to borrow money to shop. When I don’t have the money would I go to the bank line of credit and borrow money in Great Awakening Tour.

When I moved to Florida, I went to the bank and did the same thing because I didn’t trust God. I was making sure I had what I need, so I don’t have to depend on anybody. I cried out for God to do a cleaning the same way He did for the soul winning. This is good for me to trust God and not the bank. It is painful and not easy, but I know that with Him everything is possible. Rodney Howard Brown says that I believe that I am changed and I want to continue to change. I never had a problem to give money away, but I’ve had a problem giving ‘stuff’ away.

Finally, last night Pastor Eric and Jennifer prayed for me and my shoulder was healed and all the pain left.

Rodney Howard Browne says that since the start of school and the river school revival at R.B.I. the Lord has made some major changes in me. I have made a decision to press into the things of God like never before. It actually started in my second year at R.B.I. I had made a decision then to do whatever the Lord told me to and the result was awesome blessings from the Lord.  Rodney Howard Brown says that as I have made myself available to him, he has made himself more available to me also. He is growing my faith and showing me who I am to be in Him, a strong prayer warrior in the call center for this year is just the start of his ministry for my wife and I. I am becoming more and more patient and more humble before the Lord. I am also finding myself becoming more hungry and thirsty for the things of God.

Great Awakening stated that this is my third year in R.B.I. and God is showing me how to take everything that comes my way, the good the bad and the ugly and to use these things to my advantage, to learn from these circumstances to flow in the Holy Ghost and take it all in stride not in strife. I never thought I would have come back to R.B.I. after my first year back in 05-06 but the Lord has a way of making us see things his way. (Thank you Jesus!) The best decision of my life so far was coming back to R.B.I. for my second and now third year. This is just the start of the school year and I am so exited to see what God is doing in not only my life but so many new students that have stepped into the call that God has placed on their lives it is going to be a Great year at the River Bible Institute. Rodney Howard Browne says that how could anyone not feel the fire and urgency for souls after being in or watching these meetings here at the River at Tampa Bay Church, anyone who calls themselves a believer needs to be plugging in to these meetings one way or another, In these meeting you will find the full unadulterated word of God with those who believe in the Bible and the whole Bible and nothing but the TRUTH by Rodney Howard Brown.

Great Awakening Tour stated that so come one come all and be revived and encouraged, come and have your faith build up there is so much great things going on here for the Kingdome of God in these meetings, there are people getting healed, people getting set free, miracles are taking place here many workings of the spirit of God and the main thing souls, souls, souls! souls are being won all over the globe for the Kingdome of God the great awakening is happening now, America is coming back to Christ I encourage all you pastors out there to get your churches involved in what’s going on here, come and be a part of the great awakening, Rodney Howard Browne says that pleas America is crying for the truth, crying to be freed from darkness, and all it takes is for all that believe to allow themselves to be used by the Spirit of God that same Spirit that was talked about in the book of Acts so all of you believers out there I ask you, don’t be a lame, If you don’t know now you know. -Noble K

Rodney Howard Browne says that this past week at Winter Camp Meeting 2011 was the best camp meeting I have ever attended. The presence and power of God was so amazing. Pastor Rodney taught on the anointing during the morning services and really just let the power of God flow. Rodney Howard Brown there was one morning service where a few different special guest singers got up on stage and started singing “I’ve Got It!” and the whole church started praising God and rejoicing that we’ve got the Holy Ghost all over us! We have it in our hands, feet, walk, and talk and all over us! There was such a freedom in the room it was breathtaking.

Rodney Howard Browne says that then at night as the fire of God fell, it was like we were receiving downloads from heaven and growing spiritually as we sat in the anointing. It was as if we were being taken from glory to glory! Then on Thursday night, it was like we touched heaven. Rodney Howard Browne says that as we were worshipping the Lord singing Holy, Holy, Holy it sounded like a choir of angels joined in with us! And I don’t blame them! God is worthy to be praised and worthy to have our all during worship! It was so powerful and I felt like I caught the slightest glimpse of what Heaven is going to be like.

Friday night though, changed my life and my friendship with one of my very dear friends. God completely restored and healed our broken friendship.  Great Awakening Tour stated that we were both completely full of joy and it felt as though an electric current was running through us. God mended and took away all of our bitterness, ill feelings, and malice towards one another and filled us up with His love. I praise God for everything He did through and for my life over the week of Winter Camp Meeting! -Nicole M.

Rodney Howard Browne says that the weeks of the revival meetings have been so amazing. I do soul winning every day, for the passion of souls has greatly increased in the inside of me. All I see now when I ride on the bus with people or meet people on the way the only question that comes to my mind is if they are save? Rodney Howard Brown says that working in the call center get more interesting as I pray and people get healed instantly and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost immediately. I prayed for one lady who had had pains on her back since 2009 she got healed instantly and was shouting and praising the lord in her apartment.

I met another lady at the bus stop, prayed with her and she got save, but looking at this lady I could see she was not feeling good so I asked her what the problem was and she told me she had fever so I asked if I could pray for her and she said yes I laid my hands on her and took authority over the fever and she got healed immediately. In fact it is so amazing each time I think of the fact that God is not only giving me the opportunity to reach people but also the fact that through me people are receiving healing breakthrough. The Great Awakening Tour stated that thank for the River for only a place like this can give such opportunity to all irrespective of whom they are.Thank God for the River.  -Valentina A.
